uski tasveer ko zindagi bana liya,
uski yaadon mein khud ko bhula liya,
kuch roshini chahiye thi unhe ek raat,
unki nazaron ke liye khud ko jalaa liya,

aaj bhi wo ghaav jalte hain, jo us raat mile the..
aaj bhi wo chiraag jalte hain, jo us raat bhuje the...
bas hum hi hain ek jo jee rahe hain tanha...
wo gulaab ab bhi khilte hain, jo us raat khile the..!

aaj mujhe ek aur vaakyansh yaad aaya...,
behte huye ashqon ka wo ansh yaad aaya....,
aaj likh to di maine kavita milaap pe...,
par mujhe aaj judaai ka wo ansh yaad aaya..!

kuch lamho ke liye zindagi thahar gyi,
aankhon ke aansuon mein zindagi guzar gyi,
ab bhi unki tasveer rehti hain is veerani mein,
unki yaadon mein dil ki tammanayein bikhar gyi..!

every second i feel you, i miss you my dear,
i'll lose you someday, that is the only fear,
will laugh everyday, but only from the outside,
inside...i'll be full, full of tears..!

sometimes you sit and think,
why is life going the other way?
then you realise its a good thing,
at least you are not living your life like a stray..!
